With the Gryphon™ 4500 2D, Datalogic's series of premium range manual scanners is enriched with new, even more high-performance and technologically cutting-edge models. The GD4500 is the cable version, available in standard format and in the all-in-one Base model. With the 4500 series the "wireless charging system" is used for the first time (for this type of product). The GBT4500 model is the version with Bluetooth® technology and the GM4500 model is the one with Datalogic's STAR Cordless System™ narrow band radio technology.

The Gryphon 4500 imager series stands out for its elegant and fashionable ergonomic design, is equipped with a latest generation Megapixel sensor with 2D white light technology capable of guaranteeing exceptional reading performance.

Gryphon 4500 imagers offer optimal reading performance on all common 1D and 2D codes. High Density (HD) models are available for capturing smaller, higher density codes, as well as dot codes. A dedicated version with red illumination optics has also been created to support digital watermarking decoding.

The scanner uses Datalogic's Motionix™ motion detection technology, which allows it to automatically switch between presentation and manual reading modes the moment it is picked up by the operator. This technology works with or without the use of the stand. The ability to change the position of the cradle offers greater flexibility of use as the scanner can be used in presentation reading mode while it is charging.

Wireless models are equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology (GBT model) or narrow band radio with Datalogic's STAR Cordless System (GM model).

One of the most important technical innovations brought to the Gryphon 4500 readers is the contactless charging system for wireless devices, which improves the reliability of the product and optimizes the return on investments (it is no longer necessary to carry out cleaning or maintenance procedures on the contacts) . This new feature of the Gryphons allows for 24/7 use.

The GD4500 imager is also available in a Healthcare version with special disinfectable and antimicrobial plastics for applications in the healthcare sector.
