Data and system protection
Biometrics provide an additional layer of protection on the 8th Generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga convertible notebook, from the power button with integrated fingerprint reader to the facial recognition software that works with the infrared camera. All our notebooks include ThinkShield, our complete suite of security solutions. Features like the dTPM (Discrete Trusted Platform Module) take care of encrypting your data. Presence detection automatically locks your device when you walk away, while Intel vPro® helps prevent attacks on your operating system, login credentials, and more.

We take sustainability issues very seriously
Our goal is to achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, becoming the world's largest PC and smartphone manufacturer and one of just 139 companies with a net zero emissions target validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative). In the case of the eighth-generation ThinkPad We use post-consumer recycled plastic (PCC) for the speaker cabinets (90%), battery compartment (25-30%), and power adapter (90%). The packaging is completely plastic-free.

Quality you can count on
Lenovo uses US Department of Defense MIL-STD-810H standards to achieve the perfect balance of reliability and durability in ThinkPad notebooks. We perform 12 standard compliance tests and more than 200 quality checks to ensure operation under critical conditions. The tests include extreme conditions, from Arctic ice to desert sandstorms, and evaluate factors such as temperature, pressure, humidity, vibration and more.
