i-tec MySafe USB-C/USB-A 2x M.2 SATA Drive is an external enclosure for one or two M.2 B-Key SATA Based SSD disks that can be connected to a PC, notebook or tablet via the USB interface -C or USB 3.0. USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB 3.0 connection cables are part of the package. Connection via USB ports offers fast and easy data transmission: up to 10 Gbps via the USB-C port and up to 5 Gbps via the USB 3.0 port. The USB-C interface is compatible with Thunderbolt 3. The rigid aluminum structure ensures effective heat dispersion and protection of M.2 disks. One of the positive aspects of this enclosure is that it supports different RAID levels which offer high data protection, extremely fast data writing, and possibly the formation of a drive consisting of two disks. The following RAID levels are available (in case of two disks installed): - RAID 0: for high writing speed (the enclosure is able to write simultaneously and consecutively on both disks) - RAID 1: for high level of protection (the enclosure can write to both disks in a mirrored way; if one of the disks fails, data is not lost) - JBOD/disjoint disks: the system sees both disks in disjoint mode - JBOD/joint disks: the system sees both disks jointly and indicates their capacity as the sum of the disks installed - Mounting M.2 disks is very easy and takes just a few minutes.
